$500 Norinco???

...Beside the PArk finish ,grip and sight there no shootable difference between my $325 Nork and the $1700 Springfeild.
Not me or the Springfeild owner have seen Handling or Accuracy diffence between both guns. ....... saved almost 1500$ ? Yes !
Did the springfeild Owner felt like Selling ........, YES

Have 4 guys in our regular IDPA shooting group that have Norc's (3 Commanders + 1 1911A1). My impression differs slightly from volk's Nork/Springfield comparison. Both on the range and in courses of fire, the Norc's perform pretty good in the 7 - 15 mtr. range. Beyond that (talking only about unmodified/non-tuned Norc's) other pricier .45's have the edge - straight out of the box. And I don't mean just Kimbers or DW's. The STI Spartan is a great example (and it ain't even made in the USA) - Out of the box - it must be one of the more accurate and affordable .45's out there. One of the guys is waiting for his Armco supplied Spartan and we are all looking forward to shooting her.
Just got my Norc Police Model. The action is not as smooth as my other .45's however, it is accurate. Trigger pull can be improved which will be my next project. However, from my first hand experience, the action is rougher as compared to other makes (also non-modified and straight out of the box).

The Norc is certainly durable and mine will be put to the test although, my other shooter friends have already put 000's of rounds through them with hardly any hiccups. Happy Norc shooting to all of us!!!!!

BTW V r' Us, if your friend's Springfield is a TRP I'm interested!!!:D

That's the great thing about an Armco tune - I was out last Monday with my Compact, and just for giggles I started shooting headshots on a B27. No problem - at 25 yards, standing unsupported

maybe the $500 Norc had goodies inside?? That would increase the value.

No, that is just an indicator of how highly valued used Norincos are in the US. Believe me, there are MILLIONS of American shooters that wish they had access to cheap Norinco 1911s.

I agree, in the US the issue of forged frames versus cast frames is still a real issue, and many American shooters (regardless of price point, or origin) want a 'real, forged frame' 1911 as a basis for custom work. Since most folks never wear out a frame or slide whether or not they need one is irrelevant, but it's psychologically important to a large number of US shooters.

I wish more people would bash Norincos. That way, Norkie prices will remain low and affordable.

Please guys, stop tellling the world how good and reliable and accurate your Norkies are. I need to buy more at a price I can afford.

As for mainland China's politics....never mind. This is a gun thread.

If people are THAT anti-China, they should buy at least one Norinco. [**further commentary edited out by NAA for posting rule violation**]
