500 S&W Loads for 350gr Bullets.

Got ahold of some 350gr Flatpoint Bullets. Just wondering if anyone has some recipes for these?
I am also curious if anyone is using BlueDot, as I have a sh*tload of it kicking around and would like to use it up.

Not sure if there is .500 Data in the Alliant site, but Blue Dot would be in the burning range for midrange loads in this cal., not for the heavy stuff as H-110 rules, same as the .44 mag.

In a variety of weights of cast bullets, for light loads for the 500, Unique has worked well for me. For heavy loads, cast and jacketed, H110. Because of some ignition problems with some of the earlier production brass using H110 and powders of similar burn rate, the later cases utilized large rifle primers.

A source of info you may find helpful would be some of the efforts of John Taffin of the American Handgunner, January/February 2004.

In my experience, anything I've put through the 500, cast or jacketed, both heavy and light loads, they all seem to do well on paper.

Those are some nice groups you have there.

I picked up some 550gr cast that I will use H110 with and now I am just looking for a recipe for my 350gr and Bluedot. From the internet hero's and Google searches, its looks like around 21grs to start but I think I am going to contact Alliant directly as well.
