Hello all. I shoot and enjoy my palm mounted artillery quite a bit. Curently I have a leupold 4x scope on it. Im tired of hunting for absolute perfect sight picture and have been thinking of going with something a bit more open for viewing. I have been considering leupold delta points and other similar sight systems. My biggest concern is of course WHAT WON'T SELF DESTRUCT? Any opinion on delta point or any other unmagnified optics? Burris? Bushnell?

The Hendsolt RSA got shatered on my 44 mag Desert Eagle ( they sended me a brand new one as a replacement), now my Leupold Delta Point 7.5 is holding strong after 250 full trottle loads, i just ordered some fiber optic adjustable open sights from Magnum research for the DE if i blow my Delta point... JP.

Wow a so called military grade optic shattered atop of 44mag, glad I passed on those. I'm not quite sure of how your mounting optic's on you revolver as I've never considered it. I run a rmr06 on top of my Fnx tactical and love it!

I like optics on my 44 mag, members and i use them for 100 yards shooting and with optics, it is quite fun as we are able to group decently for some 4 to 6 inch barrel, and for optics you can go wrong with the Leupold Delta Point, i bought 3 and they could be the best for the 5-6 hundreds dollars range...
On the 627 PC i am trying a little Bushnell First strike and so far it is very good.... JP.
