500 S&W Redding Competition seating die and 50AE

So I ordered a 500 S&W Redding comp seating die for use with my .50AE, it should work right? No crimp or anything, just seating.

Because the AE is shorter than the SW there might be an issue with being able to get the seating depth you need. If it doesn't work let me know, I would like one for the 500 as seating with a regular die has been problematic. Some bullets are not sitting properly once they are up inside the die resulting in crushed necks. Is this happening with the AE as well?

Yeah I've been having trouble with the crimp station and my .50 AE lately. Once I get the crimp right, I try and reset the seating depth and suddenly the crimp is all wrong. I figure using a separate die for seating will help me solve this issue. I could have just ordered another RCBS seat/crimp die, but figured, what the hell, lets try the Redding. I'm sure I can sell it if doesn't work for me.

i also had a bit of issue with the crimp station on my 50AE, maybe i will change up the 3 stations to 4, as i have a couple other sets of dies.

Scratch that... I missed the "seating" part. Should work fine, the nose profiles are similar.
