500 sw cast help needed..components and tools,,,,HELPPPPPPPPPPPP !!!!

K so from the top. My 500 finally arrived and I have it at home now...I was able to find a lee 440 grain mold for it also. But I cant find gas checks,a lyman 501 size die # 2766525...lyman top punch # 649 or some hand load data for cast...Soooooooooooo....if any one knows where I can obtain the necessarylube /sizing parts in Canada I would really appreciate it. Maybe a pic out of some book with cast load data and I would be greatful to you forever!!

http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol for reloading data, I used H110 on mine. I bought a Freechex to make gas checks but I am sure you can get them on ebay too. my LEE sizing die was bought at titanreloading when the dollar was higher and it comes with alox lube.
you can also get a 700 grain mold for that for real giggles on the firing line. mountain molds has that one.

Unfortunately it's not in Canada but I ordered all my stuff to cast and load my 500 from Natchez. I got the Lyman 375gr mold, the sizer die and top punch. I load them with 10gr of trail boss and they shoot with the recoil of a .38 special. Makes me feel a little bit better letting inexperienced people shoot the 500 now.

4759 is excellent powder for SW500 you can't blow up your gun with it.

Load to case capacity for any given projectile.

Nice medium load.

another great powder i use for my 500 is AA 1680, not a full house load but fairly close. AA 5744 also works but i would put it in with 4759 recoil wise.

as for sizing die and top punches i got mine from ebay and rouge river arms locally.

For full house loads Lil gun and h110/w296 are the best powders.
Midrange are 4227, 4759, Longshot, 2400, 1680, 5744.
Light loads trailboss. Feels like a heavy 38spl.

imr 4198 also works but typically leaves unburnt powder in the case and barrel.
