new build between 6 creedmoor, 6by6x47 Lapua

and between 6.5 creedmoor and 6.5by47 Lapua

for accuracy at 500 yards to 700 yards

does not matter bullet grains, velocity or retained energy

Which ones are known to be more accurate than the other for accuracy only

thanks

It's my understanding the 6.5x47L was designed specifically for 600m target shooting.

My guess is Everything being equal each would shoot in the same hole.

You looking to build one? Or just for s&g's?

I have a MPA chassis, a AICS chassis both for 700sa
also have 2 cadex strike nuke new model stocks, and maybe a Jae if mdt gets them done at under 2bills next year

looking to build 2 guns, short barrels, for gongs out to 900 but looking for best accuracy as coming from a br and fclass background

buying and have some 115 draws for the 6

have lapua, Berger offerings for the 6.5

Present intention is one barrel for a 6.5 and 2 barrels for a 6

just not sure what order to build them in and what cartridge selection
have lapua brass for each already from 2 years ago

might want to bench them as enjoy that as well

have a couple of dashers for 600 yard br but want mag fed for these ones

a little clearer now?

You can mag feed 6br/6bra/6 Dasher. I have two mag fed 6BRA's which both have fed flawlessly so far. Feeding the br cases was solved a few years ago, many are having excellent results doing so.

This is all going to be subjective. You can make any of those shoot very accurately. Some people struggle with keeping 6x47L in tune - supposedly they are pretty fickle. MartyK2500 had one hell of a time with his 6.5x47L - make sure you get the right reamer if you don't want to neck turn. 6.5 creedmoor is solid, use quality components and it's easy to get to shoot good. 6 creedmoors also accurate, both the 6 creedmoor and 6x47L will chew through barrels quicker then their 6.5 counterparts

The most important criteria will be top quality barrel, good chamber job by competent gunsmith, and quality components and reloading practices. If you combine all of that, you should be able to get any of them to shoot good. These factors will make a much bigger difference then any of the 4 cartridges IMO. Have your gunsmith chamber your barrel with a reamer designed for your intended bullets and purposes.

I still vote 6br/6bra/6 Dasher if your ultimate goal is precision. Between the other 4 you mentioned - pick any of them. I doubt there's any objective empirical evidence that strongly suggests any one of these 4 is much more precise then the others.

PS - the JAE chassis is IMO the best rifle chassis made, with no real peers. Have two and love them. I would strongly recommend that chassis.

Edited because my reading comprehension sucked last night.

All the calibers mentioned by the op have the abilty to be equally accurate at the mentioned distances …
Will be more in the barrel and work that will keep any of them from shooting to their accuracy potential imo

I have a 6br and a 6.5x47, both are great, i shoot 105's in the br and Lapua 123's in the 6.5x47. If recoil and target spotting is an issue for you then the 6.5x47 just about needs a brake, depends on shooting position but there some times is just enough to move you off target, the 6br with 105's is not really an issue. if you plan on running a brake on either one you choose then tough call. I think barrel life will be slightly better on the 6.5 cal possibly.

My 6br is a Rem 700 that was set up with a single shot follower and i only shot it on the bench until recently, the barrel is coming to end of life so i wanted to try a few things with it to decide its future, I put it in a KRG Bravo chassis and picked up a MDT 12 round BR mag, this combo seems to work very well with the 105's, I have loaded some 75g v-max for it now to try and they do not feed as well as the 105's, they have to be fed a little more careful but still work.
