<500fps Air Pistol

That looks like a great option if the price isn't too scary to consider.
Scary?! At $300 that thing looks like an absolute steal! A reasonably accurate PCP giving 70 shots in .22", 100 shots in .177", for $300, that's almost outrageously cheap. Not exactly a fair comparison, but my Pardini K12 cost $2,000. Of course from a vise it'll stack pellets in a hole 1mm larger than a pellet from full down to about 80bar, and the sliding tungsten anti-recoil weight makes it almost seem like I haven't fired the thing, just sits there making a little click from the amazing trigger... but hey, if the Artemis can deliver groups dime-sized or smaller at 10 metres I'm sold, definitely getting one for plinking.

Yeah, scary.

Not to me, but some folks still think all air guns are toys and only barely worth what Walmart charges.

I like playing with the Croman stuff, as it is modular and a lot of the parts got re-used along the way (parts bin engineering and design), so inside of a family of guns the parts are fairly easy to swap around.

Yeah, it looks a decent deal at that price. Some folks though....

Had a Pardini K58, iirc, single shot CO2 gun. Hated target shooting, but loved whacking grasshoppers out in the driveway. :)

Remember the colder it gets the more inefficient CO2 becomes . A CO2 gun shooting 400 fps at 70 degrees F may be shooting 290 fps at 30 degrees F . Not good for fall cool weather hunting . That's why i went with a springer .

Best cheap air pistol I have owned was a "Colt Defender" all metal, 490 fps, bb only, 12g CO2.
The pistol wasn't accurate at all, but if you mag-dump on a tall-boy, it got shredded nice (entries, and exits)
:)

air guns are for kids.
