500S&W LOAD Data

I've been working up a load for my T/C Pro hunter Katahdin in 500S&W.
350gr.Berry seated .200" into the case,42grs.SR4759(full) 1,940fps. Only way to get a little more powder in would be to seat the bullet .150" into the case.

I can get a lot more W680 into the case. 62.3grs. fills it to -.200" from top, but no load data on this powder. Can anybody run this load in Quick Load? Or AA1680.

Sorry to hijack your post but isn`t there a max velocity of 1250fps for all Berry`s bullets?

Sorry, we do not have our own tested load data, but let me try to help you.

OOps, the 1200 FPS limit is for all of our other copper plated pistol bullets, but not this one.

Our 350 Gr. RS bullet for the .500 has been tested from 1200 FPS up to 1800 FPS with good results.

Look on www.Hodgdon.com and they have several different powders with loads for the 350 Gr. Hornady XTP which will work with our bullets. Many customers have used :Lil'Gun for their loads.
