Does anyone know where I could locate a 0.505" VLD-style bullet in the 600gr range? I presume it will be a custom order.
I have a 505/416 Rigby that I have been shooting as a DGR through a ghost-ring sight for the past few years.
I was recently reading about a JD Jones playing with a 500 Peacemaker, and am thinking I would like to try to shoot my very similar 505 for accuracy.
When I had it built, I used a Krieger barrel and had the action trued: it wasn't a half-way sort of project.
What I am short of is bullets.
I can find lots of Dangerous Game, round-nose bullets for the 505 Gibbs, but I was thinking I should run down something more streamlined.
I expect they will be expensive, but heck, it’s not the sort of rifle you put a lot of ammo through in a day!
