I've looked around and couldn't really find any plinking ammo... I did see there are 200 round lots available at Shooters Choice in Calgary (headed that way next week and if I can save myself 7% in extra taxes, that's a plus as well) but just not sure I want to invest that much in one type of ammo until I've had time to try some different options to see what the rifle likes.

haven't even paid for the rifle yet, have only said I'll take it and I'm already :dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana: a little excited :dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Time to start reloading and casting! I wouldn't even think about a 50bmg without reloading.

I need to start somewhere... and figure might want to start with some factory loads, see how much I plan on shooting before investing in the reloading gear as I am sure I'll need a new press to handle it not to mention the dies and primers and powder all different than what I currently stock.

You can get into reloading 50 BMG fairly inexpensively by using the Lee Classic Cast press and the Lee dies. For blasting ammo, pulled bullets are occasionally available very cheap. Marstar is out of stock, but did have them for 50 to 25 cents each, depending on quantity.
