Does anyone own one of these or even heard of anyone in Canada carrying them? I know Guncrafter Industries in the US makes and sells them. I know the G21 can handle 45 super so it's not a stretch for .50GI. Would this be fun or am I just up too late? :p
 
If you have the money to burn I am sure you will find what you want. Anything .50 is a PITA if you are sourcing from the US. This is definitely not the first CGN thread about this either. Try a search. I mean that in a nice way :).
 
I think .45super is quite a bit "more powerful" than .50GI... it's just a "show" thing. But I'd love to reload for it, looks fun.
 
Thanks guys! I just did a search. My bubble is bursted although it can be loaded to .44 mag levels! :(

I think my money could be spent better elsewhere.
 
It's almost the price of a new glock, for just the top half. Definitely a reload only calibre, and even then, good luck on finding components. I suppose you could buy a couple thousand brass, and cast for it, should make the cost of use somewhat bearable. Still, I'd rather just buy a heavy spring and some 45 super brass, heck of a lot cheaper.

nothing wrong sure, except I have been waiting for 45super brass from starline (through DT) for a few months now, and I'm guessing a few more again

What is the purpose of the .50GI? ie what was it designed for?

That's why I buy my brass through Mysticplayer. It may be a bit more expensive than DT but I have it within a month. Just something to consider the next time you place an order.
 
its not a problem with DT, if you check with Starline you will see they are not making any before the order log is at their liking

might check with Jerry later if he has access to order lots, I already have stuff on order from him
