Having a heck of a time getting these to shoot under an inch and a half in a factory Remington 22/250 that shoots 50 g nosler ballistic tips into tiny groups. Any experience out there with this combo? Stable?
Using 4895 at max loads 3900 fps or so.

I have some too to try in my 22-250 too - I Will let you know soon as i get a chance to try some - are you using around 35 grs 4895 ? RJ

If it's a 26" barrel, try Win760 or Ramshot BigGame in the 3830 fps ballpark. 24" barrel, push it harder to 3860

You may already know about this, but just in case... It is a great online tool. I like to use it when considering a bullet/twist combo that may be marginal.

The stability of flatbase bullets is underestimated by the Miller formula.
I calculate a 1.0 factor which isn't ideal. But under estimated. Hopefully...

I shot them again this morning with better results
75 thou off the lands shot under an inch at 100 yrds with 37.5 gr D4895. I'm going to keep seating deeper and try H4895 and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestions

Got them shooting under a half inch this afternoon. 80 thou off the lands, 37.5gr D4895 CCI 200's Lapua cases and 3850 fps.

Your observations are starting to match mine but with two different calibers. For about a year, I am finding I have been chasing fantasy groups by trying to seat close to the lands on both my .223 and 6.5CM while varying powder charge to get the best groups. Over the past month I have been backing off and seating 30 - 35 thou off instead of the 5-10 thou off the lands I had been using previously, and my groups have improved dramatically in the case of the 6.5 and somewhat with the .223. I regularly shoot 0.5 to 0.75MOA but upping the jump has put the 6.5CM into the 0.3-0.5MOA range and the .223 at around 0.5-0.6MOA consistently. Thanks for posting these results. I think I will try to continue to seat deeper/increase the jump and see what happens.

Lots of myths in shooting/reloading, one of which is the relationship between distance off the lands and accuracy on target
