Hey all, I am new to this site. Ended up trading a blackberry for this old pellet gun. Done a bit of research on it, seems like something I should hold on to. Any reason the barrel looks like it is bent up a little bit? It shoots pretty accurate still. The guy I got it from says it was a 1954 model.

Here is a pic of it, say's made in West Germany on the side.

I know what blackberrys are worth and I am hoping you didn't have a whole bunch invetsed in it as the rifle looks pretty rough from the one pic you supplied.Did he tell you how he knew it was from 1954?Most likely the barrel is bent up because the lock up mechanism is worn.Retail value probably around the $75 mark.

The top of it looks rather pitted but the barrel is in good shape, the piston seal is good too judging by the hole in the neighbors old paint can from a good distance away. As for what the blackberry was worth, I am not to worried as the screen was scratched and the back battery plate was broken. The guy I traded with said his Dad got the gun in Germany in 1961, he has had it since. I did find some where that some of the other guns in the 27 model were built in England later on and this one says made in West Germany so it leads me to think he was at least close on the dates.

since this is all new to my I have some questions. Is the lock up what keeps the barrel from dropping on you? if so it seems pretty solid. Looks also like it has been lubed recently too.

This model was discontinued in 1987 with last retail $150 US, great gun, you can't shoot a Blackberry( sure you can but it won't work after that!) or roll some squirrels or pop some cans, velosity in 177 is 550FPS or 415 for 22 cal!
