50's era S&W Model 31 Question

Hello S&W experts!

I have a nice little 12-6 S&W Model 31 that I received in a trade.

Can anyone help me narrow down the date of manufacture? I am hoping this can be a 12-7 piece, but so far, it's not looking good.

Any advice is appreciated!

Mod 31's were manufactured between 1957 & 1972.

Model 31 with no dash was made 1957 to 1960. This one would have been built on the "I" frame. In 1961 this model was then built on the "J" frame as M-31-1
