:canadaFlag: The 52nd Canadian Skeet Championships will run this weekend at the Oshawa Skeet Club. :canadaFlag:

There is a $5000 bounty for a 400x400. There are at least two people shooting who have 4x4's to their credit, and a handful of others with a good shot at this.

Doubles start Friday June 22nd at 8:30am
12GA starts Friday at Noon
The 20Ga starts Saturday June 23rd at 8:30am
The 28Ga starts Saturday at 3:00pm and continues on Sunday at 8:30am.
The .410 starts Sunday June 24th at 11:30AM

There is still room in the event for anyone interested in competing. Fire me off a PM or stop by the club.

Registration starts Thursday and continues throughout the weekend.

I'll try to post updates as they become available.

Day 1 is in the books.......

Wind was the name of the game today. Strong winds, along with cool temperatures made for lower than average scores.

In the doubles event, Michael Blades was Champ after beating Brad McRae in a shootoff of 98s.

The only two 100s of the day were in the 12ga with Brent Wintermute besting Rick Lawry in a shootoff.

More details to follow, and hopefully an improved weather outlook as well.

Way to go Brad. See you tomorrow.

Another day is history at the Canadian Championships.

The 20ga was the only event to complete today. Weather conditions were somewhat more favourable than yesterday, but the wind was still quite strong.

5 shooters came in with 100x100 in the 20ga. Marc-Andre Jodoin, Michael Blades, Brad McRae, Bill Zager and Rick Lawry shot off for top spot.

Marc-Andre Jodoin added another Canadian Championship to his collection followed by Rick Lawry as Runner-up.

Brad McRae finished AA1st with Michael Blades AA2nd.

Bill Zager finished A1st.

Rick Lawry is leading the race for High Overall at 200x200, and has a shot at the $5000 for a 4x4. There are several shooters still within striking distance with the 28ga and .410 which complete on Sunday.

The wind calmed down (in the AM anyway) on Sunday and the temperature went back up to seasonal.

The second half of the 28ga completed Sunday Morning with the event wide open as scores from the wind blown first half were fairly low.

Rick Lawry made it 300x300 by running the 28ga. He beat Bill Zager in a shoot off of 100s to be the 28 Gauge champion.

All eyes were on Lawry in the .410 to see if he could complete the 4x4. Rick is the only Canadian shooter to accomplish this feat. The Sunday afternoon winds ended caused some difficult targets and unfortunately there was no 400x400 this event.

Marc-Andre Jodoin won the event outright with a 99x100. Michael Blades and Rick Lawry shot off 98s to determine the runner up (results unknown).

Lawry was the HOA champion with a 398x400 with Jodoin Runner up at 395x400.

I will try and get all scores and results posted in the next week or so.

Brad.
