Anyone who has a 541S will tell you they are accurate. I bought an early production 541T Sporter Brand new many years ago. I was immediately impressed with it's accuracy. Later I added a little used 541S Sporter. It too, is a delight in the accuracy department. I will show a few examples.

That's pretty damn good. One hole at 50 yds; that's shooting offhand right? hehe

I have a 513T that's also a great shooter. It's got the bull barrel and I think it's about 27" long. I really enjoy it.

I know it not quite the same but I've got 581 that is very accurate. It too shoots one holers at 50m. Its not overly picky about ammo however it really likes the target varieteis. I'd just like to get a 541 trigger on it.:)

I also have a couple of 581s. They are very accurate also, but not quite as good as my 541s. For the original price of a 581, they were a real sleeper!! The 541s were expected to be accurate, but the 581s performed way above their price level in the market. The ability of these rifles to shoot well with a variety of ammunition never fails to amaze me. My best 10-shot groups at 100 meters measure .561" [541S] and .564" [541T Sporter] Regards, Eagleye.

Nice shooting, I notice the point of impact of your groups move around on the same targets, I'm assuming your using windflags and shooting in differing conditions causing this or different ammo with different points of impact??

Oscar; Yes, different days, and some differing conditions on the very small groups. The ammo testing groups, of course, are using several different ammos, so shift is expected. The 200 meter group was shot in the early AM, and no wind at all. Regards, Eagleye.

trigger'06; Some of the 541T HB rifles did not have the match chamber [also all the late production sporter 541T's], so some are not quite as accurate as 541S and early 541T's. Both mine engrave a 22 long rifle when chambering them. Also I cannot chamber a CCI Stinger, since the case is too long and the rifling will not engrave the case easily. Both my 581's lack match chambers and will accept the stinger ammo just fine. Regards, Eagleye.
