Not attempting to infringe on your right to speak your mind, I would still kindly ask the participants to contribute ideas related to technical aspect only. I feel somewhat insulted by the questions of where I bought ammo or whether I cleaned the gun. I am new to this board and quite frankly this is a sticky shocker experience. If all you have to say is 'you bought crappy gun and crappy ammo but expect it to perform well' please stay away from this conversation.

Glockenshpiel- I can understand ur frustration, but CanAm sells this shotgun Im sure he's an expert or at least very knowledgeable with this arm in question.

As per these shells.. last year I got a new Mossberg 535 with the trap/hunting barrel, I had also gotten a large box of those trap loads from wally-world. The first box was a bit problematic and was for about a couple of hundred rounds, very unsetteling for a new gun, but prior to my new gun I did hear about this issue. one time I had to hold the handguard and pound the butt down on a sand bag too extract the shell. now after 1000 or so rounds its flawless.

every manufacture has some degree of differences between them, and chamber dia. is one of them. they maby the same or tighter or really loose. The dominion arms series has some compatibility issues with the parent shotgun parts it is based off of. some list the barrel's sight are cocked off a bit center when the Rem barrel is installed on a Dom receiver, a slight fitting might be needed on other things.. there are others. not too much of a problem.

Now try not to take this the wrong way, we are all friends here, just trying to get u up and rocking. In this particular forum, typically discussions here are that of the hunting and sporting disciplines, although this of a sporting nature the arm is somewhat considered a tacticool black shotgun is has a different ring here thats all. maby in the black/green shotgun forum.
so keep on rocking, or try to switch up some thing see what happens.

I like how people are taking shots at the chineese gun when it only malfunctions with the genuine Remington barrel.

Did you have a look at the Remington barrels chamber? If it works fine with the others that may be the problem. 870 expesses are getting a lot of flack latley for the barrels having rough chambers. Have a good look for rough areas or burs.

Glockenshpiel- sorry about some of your frustration, but we are not allowed to make negative comments about certain products because of certain dealers. You should know that the problem you have with your Dominion is not unique to your Dominion and is also a known problem common a popular entry level version of a quality name brand pump gun. To express my opinion of the other firearm would probably lead to an accusation of bashing. I think at this point someone should stick up for wally world and cambodian tire. The manufacturing tolerances of the cheap ammo they sell is not worse than the manufacturing tolerances of many of the cheap firearms that are flooding the market.

For what its worth.. ill say something......for ex. winchester universal 2 3/4", 1 1/8oz #8. low wall steel base. I have used these on trap field, done allright but im still learning, but I will add that I use these mainly for my slug loading, and those work pretty darn good, in my mossberg aswell as the 1100.

I have this same issue with my Norinco 870 copy. I believe its caused by some sort of either plastic or deposit build up after the shell is fired. Keeping it clean with a shotgun solvent that dissolves the plastic in the bore seems to make it work fine, otherwise after about 20 or so shells it gets progressively stickier.

Its either a combination of ammo and the gun or one or the other.

polished the chamber with a set or 3 stage reamers and 90% chance it will go away.
if ou dont have the tools to do it , we do offer the service at our shop.

you are not allowed to comment on quality of your guns???

Let me inquire then as to what board I have accidentally entered: I thought this was a firearms owners community. From your comments it sounds as if this is a venue paid for by the vendors.

Members on this site have been cautioned by moderators about making negative observations about guns brought in by sponsoring dealers.

Threads critical of sponsoring gun stores and their employees have quietly disappeared.

Also, when the guy who sells the guns blames the ammunition when they malfunction consider his response in that context.

Before you get all hot and bothered listen to what you are being told. There is a real issue in some guns with the low grade Winchester shells that Walmart sells. Several people at the club that I shoot at have had issues with extraction problems with those shells, mostly with pump guns.

Check the chamber for rough spots or a burr. Give it a good cleaning with a brush in a drill ( gently ) and wrap some fine steel wool around the bore brush with a generous ammount of Hoppes to clean up the chamber.

In a rem870 clone, if slide is sticky after firing some shots but not all of them, what would that mean? It only happens on one mag fed Grizzly where Remington 26" bbl is installed.

No issues with the same shotgun with Mossberg rifled bbl or the 15 and 18" bbls from Dominion.

Sticky is when it takes good deal of force to open the slide.

From what you are describing, I suspect CanAm's answer is pretty much spot on. If you had said the slide was sticking part way through the extraction of the shell, perhaps another thing might be the the source.

If you are having trouble unlocking the slide with only one barrel, my guess is it's the cheap steel based economy rounds sold at Wal-Mart and Cambodian Tire. A polish of the chamber like Badboybeeson suggests is a probable fix.
