Anyone loading 55gr ballistic tips in their 6BR? Any chance of getting that bullet anywhere near the lands?
I suspect the reamer we used to cut the chamber was set up for the longer VLD bullets. I can get the 70gr ballistics tips out to the lands and still have enough bullet in the case to hold everything together.
However with the 55 grainers I have to back the bullet at least .050" off the lands in order to be able to have enough for the case neck to hold on to.
