The military charge for the Snider was only 70grains so at 75 it would kick a bit. When I got mine I tried starting at 50 grains & up in increments of 5 grains & the most accurate load I found (for my rifle) is 65 grains, shooting a 560 grain Minie.

I'm not exactly sure where i found that load size but I had it written in my notes, of components and load charges, but dropping down in grains won't hurt either, thanks for that bit of information. Cheers
