58 Cal Minies - Where to Buy?

Just got off the phone with Epps and they are all out of 58 cal minies and round balls. Next order 6-8 weeks away. Higginson's says they only have molds for them. Is there another source of these and/or 58 cal round balls?

I do have a mold for 58 cal minies, but am not set up yet with a supply of lead or a furnace.

I buy my .577 Snider bullets from R&B Bullets in Maitland, Ontario. He lists 3 or 4 different Minie types as well. If you send me a PM I will email you the list of bullets he casts for.

Found a source and he's local to me in Eastern Ontario - nice. He's sending me his catalogue and am looking forward to ordering some supplies from a local source. Thanks Biggles for the heads up on them.

the lead you get from the scrap yard- a coleman stove will do for a furnace- just use one burner , open air( which you should be anyway) and pump the heck out of it before you light, then put it on maximum heat

Some of those minnies can be a pain to cast, with the big plug at the bottom, you must keep the temp. up and the plug can't be allowed to cool any more then the mold.
