590 safety not functioning.

If screw on the safety is not tightened enough or the safety block isn't seated properly this can cause it to interfere with the connector [ protruding metal piece on the trigger assembly .] and not engage .
The wear on the safety block is from the connector , this is normal , that's where the 2 come in contact and block the trigger , but it's so tight that it wouldn't take much to hang it up .

It was fine, then I took it out and after a few boxes of shells it started acting up and hasn't been the same since.
