590a1 sga modification article

Hey guys.

I'm looking for the article and modifying the magpul forend for the 590a1
14" barrel. I've been trying different google queries with out luck.

Anyone who remembers it? Mentions a hole saw to modify to fit.

Sorry the link is gone now. I did it a month ago it was a 1 1/4" hole saw I think. Can some one else confirm?

Searching SGA will show results for the buttstock. The forend is actually referred to as the MOE.

I used a die grinder and removed the necessary material.

Does the forend come flush with the muzzle though like on the 870?
I thought I remembered seeing the mag cap protruding out from the MOE forend on the 14" 590A1...?

I love and own a few Magpul sets, but the forend looked odd when installed on this particular Mossberg for some reason.

I found a small chisel was good and accurate for removing left over material and squaring the cut.

Finished. Was a bit of a rough fit as I forgot where my dremel was.
