I recently had my remington 597 at the range. 3,000 rounds they it over time. No major issues till now. Had a few fail to eject then saw 2 very small pins drop out Think its the extractor pin and bolt buffer pin.
2 questions for you all
1) is this possible to fix ? If so how hard is it to do
2) who might sell these parts and will ship to Canada

Thanks for reading

If you are thinking of doing it yourself there are a couple of good disassembly videos on Youtube. I own a 597 myself but have had no problems so far. (fingers crossed) Oh and welcome to the forums as I see this is your first post. :)

Mine once fired out of battery and popped the ejector pin right out of it, luckily I was not hurt and the pin dropped on the table right beside the gun. These guns have been known to do this, maybe that's what happened to yours. Everything fit back in with no issue at all. Is the spring still there?

Thank you for your responses. I am not 100% as I have not yet opened it up "yet"
I will check today and post my findings. Google is about to become my best friend (how to videos)

Yaaaa I got the extractor back together. Can't believe the spring / extractor arm was inside and found the extractor pin on the table

Best tip from the video I watched .... Reassemble in a CLEAR BAG !!!! 3-4 times I had to go hunting for the spring and pin in the bag until I got it together LOL

Thanks for the help
