there is some one in the US that makes a center fire convertion and brass ,bullets for them came across them once do some searches and good luck

I haven't seen any in years, but it was running $50 for a box of 50 the last time I saw it.

The 5mm Remington hasn't been made since the mid 70's. Any ammo you do find is collector stuff. A buck a shot is likely cheap.

I sold a bunch a few years ago and it was gone in minutes. i got $1 USD for loose rounds and better than that for ammo in clean full boxes

A buck a shot is cheap?!? Holy cow! Hmmm....I have a mostly full box of .32 rimfire, whats that stuff worth? Came with a Stevens tipdown I bought from an estate that i'm putting on the EE...maybe the ammo is worth more than the gun .
