5R rifling in F class?

I think it would be hard to compete with the established barrel makers.
He has mentioned possibly making copies of some of the tooling he has.

Another consideration is when pushing the envelope in twist rate. Especially in .223 with heavy (85+ grains) VLD bullets at about 300,000 rpm some people experience bullets blowing up on the way to the target. 5R profile makes it easier on jackets as:

1- slanted edges of the lands are less agressive to the jackets
2- with an odd number of grooves, a land is opposing a groove instead of being opposed to another land with the even numbered profiles. Again less agressive to the jackets.

Our limited experience so far (4 barrels 5R) with 6.8 twist pushing 90VLD bullets at close to 300,000 rpm shows no (as in none, nada) bullet blow ups. I'm sure there are other considerations but it works for us and I'm not going back to even numbered groove profiles.
