5th Annual Double Gun Classic

Kent elites wont cycle in my older semi auto guns. The only one that would was my turkish asena. Even then they werent 100 percent. They barely made 1000fps over a chronograph

No, they may not but the suggestion of Kent Elites was meant for vintage double barrels that may not handle modern higher pressure loads.

Kent lists both 2.5" and 2.75" Kent Elite's as loaded at moderate pressures suitable for use in vintage firearms. They do not differentiate between the 2.5" and 2.75".

Note, the 2 1/2" load has a 28 gauge payload, the 2 3/4" load has a 20 gauge payload, and drastically lowering the amount of shot is the easiest and surest way of lowering recoil and the simplest way to lower pressure. No free ride, your effective range decreases. These loads are easy to duplicate if you load your own, and you can duplicate black powder pressures.
Back on topic, sure wish I could attend, but it's too far for me. On the other hand, we have our own side by side shoot sporting clay here at our club( fifth this year I think) and they also have one in Victoria so us westerners aren't without our own fun.

We aren’t rying to drop a turkey here. I have all of those shells I mentioned right now. All of them work fine at the range and are easy on vintage SxS.

I've shot a fair amount of Kent Elites, no complaints. 90% of the time in my O/U's, but I have successfully shot them out of my Benelli SBE 2 & Beretta extrema 2.

The Kent 7/8 are very good loads that will surprise you. Just use a little choke.

I will bring my AYA model #117 12ga (which my sun bent the trigger)
And I will bring my Webley & Scott 700 in 12Ga
Midland Gun Company SxS 20ga Boxlock

As described previously, this is a very casual and friendly event. If anyone wants to come but is holding back because doesn't have a SxS (or O/U), or shy because would like a mentor for skeet basics, send me a PM. I'll help you with that.

Oshawa trap and skeet has a dumb rule that people without PAL’s are not allowed on the premise. Dont know how strict they are at enforcing it, but its something to keep in mind. I went once with my significant other and was told by the lady working the counter that anyone without a license was to remain in the club house
