5th Annual Double Gun Classic

I know it’s a long way from Ottawa but you should really consider trying to make it next year. I’ve offered this in the past but I can put up one or two people on the Friday night to make it a bit easier for those coming from the east who have a long drive. I’m in Port Hope, which is right on the route to the range, along the 401.

It's not the drive, which I would actually enjoy, just other commitments that I waited too long to change dates on. Hope you boys have fun today, weather forecast looks good- which has of course been rare this year.

Thanks to Patrick, Rick & the Oshawa Skeet club for an amazing day! Lots of interesting guns & great company, hope to see you all again next year.

Another excellent get together with a bunch of fine gentlemen. It was great reconnecting with many of you and a pleasure meeting some of the first timers. And as luck would have it, the weather ended up being perfect!

Once again Patrick and Rick organized a great event. The Oshawa club is a great venue and we had the best turn out yet. Some amazing guns being displayed and shot.

Agreed! I had a great day today lads. Thanks to the guys who put this together. I only shot one round of skeet but it was so good I quit while I was ahead. LOL

Some beautiful guns and very talented guys. Thanks again all.

What an excellent group of guys to spend the day with.

Congrats to Pinfire who was the recipient of the 2019 Best Gun Award! Pinfire had an outstanding collection of guns on display today.

Also congrats to brybenn who was the 2019 Clay Champion with a score of 24 (with a SxS choked full and fuller)

I will post a few pics later.

And that drilling you brought was something special. You did an excellent job on it....I really liked it!

Thanks for day to everyone involved. It was much better than working lol. Also thanks to john for the car pooling.

Amazingly beautiful guns. I appriecate the opportunity to admire and handle some of these gems

I shot like sh## and then had to drive home with Mr. Hi Score. (grumble).

Haha, great day and excellent companions. I think Pinfire was tickled pink to be awarded with the best gun in a field of pretty darn nice guns. Hat's off to you Steve!

I had a great time. I was shooting my first time with a side by side and with a few tips from you fine gents I started to get the hang of it. Thanks for a great day of shooting and some beautiful guns in display.

A really big thanks to the organizers for another great event, and it was wonderful to see both familiar and new faces, and a lot of excellent guns.

My dad had a great day !! Thank you Patrick and everyone who helped set this up . Thank you Rick for the tips and I am glad I got to shoot my Rizzini.

Can we have photos please?

Sorry, I set out to take some images but kept putting the camera down to engage in v. interesting conversations. Best intentions waylaid as usual. I would say there were 12 or more tables all with very cool things to look at and learn about.

and one of his cased guns (not the winner but look at the cool tools!). Single shot in foreground converted to pinfire from ML in the 1850's if that's right.
