Does anyone have any experience with Barnes Bullets in the 6.5x55?

Not in a x55 but I bought 200 of the 140gr Match Burners to try in my Rem 700 6.5 Creedmoor and so far they seem to be working well, I've only done a very small amount of load development so far though and have only shot them at 100 yards.
I like the price of them, paid $37/100 :p

Good to know. After doing some reading, I think I want to reload 120gr TSX/TTSX for an upcoming project and hopefully eek out 2900fps to take moose/elk with.

I'm up to 2680fps on the 140gr Matchburners and groups are looking decent, more testing required though.
I just bought some Hornady 140 ELD-x and the BC is better than the Barnes and the 140 SMK's I bought to test as well.

You guys need to look at a faster powder for an AG42B. 4350 and 4831 are too slow. It throws off the timing and is hard on the rifle/brass.

Look at something around IMR 3031 to Win 748.

6.5 Grendel

Found some info on the internet pointing to 28.5gr of 8208XBR under a 123gr Hornady (I used the Hornady 120gr ELD-M).
Worked my way up to it and it turned out to be a safe and fairly accurate load.
Barrel is Odin 20 inch in a semi auto.
Velocity around 2450fps, low ES, looks good on paper.
This is pretty much a max load from what info I could find. My Hornady manual does not list 8208 for the 120 class bullets but Hodgdon site and my other manual have it. Looks like I could load higher as there was just a little primer flattening but I'm content to leave it alone and play with seating depth a little.
