6.5 300 weatherby mag

I'm thinking of maybe building one but can't seem to find much for brass and dies any thoughts , I've been wanting a hot 6.5 for a while

Last year my son purchased a Mark V in the 6.5-300 Wby. No brass to be located, therefore he purchased two boxes of ammo.........done. The best powder to date is Hodgdon US 869 using the 130 gr. Nosler accubond. Good groups, (3/4") but we're are still tinkering on great groups. Another good powder, however with less velocity is, Norma 217, but finding it is like pulling hens teeth.

28 nosler for sure !I am a 264/6.5 guy but the numbers for the 28 nosler with that 195 burger is Just plain undeniable.Just use your 6.5 Creedmoor for plinking and save the big 7 for the serious long range stuff.

lots of info online for 300 PRC vs 300 Ultra. Same applies to 28N/7RUM

more head height for projectiles at 3.65" OAL, better quality brass, longer barrel length, less recoil, more available powders, better factory ammo, more rifle selection
