I seem to be having trouble finding .264 cast bullets , or a mold to make them.
I remember reading there was one maker of molds that made a good one, but then changed their mold spec's and the second edition mold was not so good. It produced oversized bullets I believe.
I called "R&R bullets" in Maitland On. , and he said he sold his mold for that caliber + no longer makes them.
Could somebody "in the know" please steer me in the right direction?
I want 140 grain , gas checked , .264 dia , cast bullets , or a mold . My Swedish Mauser thanks you.

I ordered a Lyman 150 grain mould and gas checks from "Buffalo Arms" in Idaho and have a buddy who casts, he make me bullets. With IMR 4227 my Mauser M1896 will give me 2" 2rd groups at 200 yds.

I had the Lyman .264" 150gr GC mold and sold it. It cast at .265" to .266" with pure wheel weights, water dropped (they tend to expand more than more pure lead). Could be sized down to .264" easily when applying the gas check. I sold the mold because it was casting too small for my M96 Swede. My bore is pretty worn and slugs at .267" or so (going from memory). I ended up getting an NOE mold designed for I believe .268" and it drops .270" which I size to .269" and they work okay for me. The bore of my rifle is so worn I need to keep velocities down or they tumble though.

Agree with LUTNIT's post - his experiences mirror mine. A mold seldom casts to advertised diameter unless you use exactly the reference alloy that the designer used, and then you probably do not know what their casting temperature is. Especially for military bores, the bore diameter is often "nominal" - you have to slug it to know for sure what you are dealing with. And, .001" or .002" sized over actual bore diameter almost always works out well.
