Hello
I just tested a 6.5 CM load, and though it was half decent, the fps were very low.
Should I move up and try to find another node?
I really couldn't find any correct data ,to go by,using this combo.

Hey, I am very interested in the info as I don’t reload but currently looking to build a 16” 6.5 on a Cadex Nuke platform... adding a thermal scope for Varmit issues, so I don’t need anything past 200y so figured 16” with factory will have enough speed to group well.

I'm done a lot of reading and looking on short barrels because I like them so much. One thing I've noticed, on average the smaller diameter of the bore the more % of velociti lost pre inch of barrel length.

32 grains Vihtavuori N150? That's 75% case fill...approx 40k psi (max is 65k)

I got the data from Vithatori, using a similar/ type bullit.
2200 is not even a starting load in my Hornady manual.

I started at 32 34 36.
32 was the best group.
Think I should go past 36?
There were no pressure signs at 36

My 123 sst are doing 2500 fps ,36.8 g Varget.
That's the starting load.

I haven't used N150, but on the burn rate chart it's right there with Win760, H4350. Typically guys are running 40+ grains with 140gr bullets

You should be able to push 130's to 2450 fps easy from the 16.5" barrel. Work up slowly

I'll start again.
Here's a pic of my first test.
5 round groups at 100 yards.
I chose the lowest charge because it was the smallest.

But as you can see, the others aren't so bad.

nice groups

ladder test?
No ladder tests.

Just data from books online etc, then 5 rnd groups from the Bench at 100 yards.
For some reason, I'm addicted to this, different bullits, powder combos, over and over and over..lol

I can pull off 5 round groups in under 10 minutes lol

Nice shooting. Great to see another tack driving 783

With H4350, you should be able to get into the 40 to 42gr range. You are using a very light charge. The barrel will shoot at the higher node.

Work up slowly... use printed load data and be safe.

The 4350 did alright with the 95 g bullits but best I could do with the 130s was around moa.

The n150 ,however, is impressive, every load is sub moa. With the worst being .699,and that flyer may have been me.

Can you get 16” carbon or carbon wrapped barrels? Also can a 783 fit in a cadex 700rem stock?
