6.5 Creedmoor 140-143 grain load info

I am rebarreling a rifle with a 24" 1:8 twist 6.5 CM barrel and am looking for some information.

I bought four boxes of Hornady 143gr ELD-X ammo and was looking to get the bullets when they become available, I can't seem to find any.

Does anyone have any favourite 140 or 143 grain 6.5 CM loads they would like to share? I know some people don't like posting load data on forums. I'm also looking for any information I can find on Hornady's factory ammo as I was hoping to duplicate it. Powder type and charge weight would be good. I think Hodgdon H4350 is the go to powder which is too bad because I have loads of Varget for my .308.

Who has the best, most up to date reloading manual for the 6.5? And what are everyone's favourite dies?

Would the 6.5 Creedmoor work best in a full length 30-06 action as opposed to a short .308 sized? The Sept /2016 issue of Rifle magazine has a short article on it but fails to mention the action length used.They have introduced Ruger's new Haweye FTW Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor. According to the story the US military has approved the .260 Rem for special applications.The Creedmoor is basically the .250 AI necked up and the .260 Rem is the .308 necked down.Harold
 
My go-to load for 140gr ELD-Ms is 42.5gr of H4350 at a coal of 2.84 in my Desert Tech. Loves em. Not sure how much different the X is to the M though?

A friend has the 6.5 cm Ruger LPR and the factory hornady 140 gr ELD Match bullets,it shot around 1/2 " 5 shot group with them.I pulled a bullet to see what they were using and it looks like imr4350.@43.2 grs and COL of 2.807.

I think the whole point of the creedmore was to meet the mag restrictions of the short actions. Lets be honest, the creedmore is not doing anything the 260 has not been doing for years. In fact it is typically doing it slower, but it does allow the the longer bullets to be run out further without exceeding the OAL of a short action magazine. The 260 forces the heavies to just be pushed back into the case using up capacity.

260, 6.5 creedmore, 6.5x47 lapua. All basically the same ballistics and velocities. Hornady has just done a bang up job marketing the crap out of it. To bad components are so hard to get and the Hornady brass isnt as good as Lapua. Now that Norma has finally picked it up, maybe we will finally see decent brass show up.....eventually.

And so far almost every person I have talked to that has had issues with inconsistencies reloading or getting a load to settle on has been chasing the ELD fad. Usually fixed by switching to the Lapua Scenars.

Just for comparison, I was running the Berger 300 gr Hybrid out of my Lapua 338 AI but had trouble with supply and pricing. Switched to the 300gr Scenars. Fair bit lower BC and I was a little worried, but steady supply and much better price. At 1,200yards it was only 1moa difference. AND I AM SHOOTING SMALLER GROUPS!

Dont get hyped up on the BC and internet stats on bullets. Many times your barrel will tell you what it will shoot and the tried and true bullet designs like the Scenars and the Sierra Matchkings are the most forgiving and consistent.
