6.5 creedmoor and benchmark

it's on the fast burning side of things. Better would be H4350, IMR 4350, Win760, H414, RL16, RL17, StaBALL 6.5, Ramshot Hunter

I find that 1:8” twist regardless of the barrel length won’t give you good accuracy.
If this is your twist rate and most 6,5 Creedmoor are, go with 140-143Gr and you’ll see the difference.
I got RPR Gen 2 and the recipes that worked great in my rifle, my buddies RPR Gen3 and Tikka T3 Tactical, Remington 700… are:

140 Berger VLD Hybrid
H4350 42.8 Gr
CCI BR4
Lapua case / small rifle primer (you have to grind down your decaping pin down to 0.06” since Lapua SRP cases have some weird size flash hole size) Disassemble your sizing die and take out your decaping pin. Put in a cordless drill and use fine grid file.
When you take it down to 0.060-0.062” don’t worry it won’t bend or break when you use it in cases with LRP.
COAL 2.855”

142 Gr SMK
H4350 42.8Gr (notice how this charge works well with different projectiles)
CCI 200
Hornady Case LRP (once fired factory ammo)
COAL - I used the same set up on my seating die as the first load with Berger VLD projectiles.
The experiment was suppose to give me three different loads using the same sizing die set up…and it worked!

143 Gr Hornady ELD-X
H4350 42.5 Gr
CCI 200
Hornady case LRP (once fired factory ammo)

143 Gr Hornady ELD-X
H4350 42.8 Gr
Starline SRP brass
CCI BR4

All loads had average velocity around 2800 ft/s (some were up to 2840 ft/s)

All four loads worked extremely well in 7 different rifles.
Put it this way none of us had any problems hitting a 2” gong at 500m after dialling in our scopes. Needless to say no one missed the 12” gong.
