6.5 Creedmoor Brass

To measure concentricity requires the brass to be uniform otherwise you may be measuring the brass thickness inconsistency. Recall FGGM, HDY and REM match brass requires more neck turning than Lapua. Lee Collet makes the inside consistent, bushing outside consistent.

In the end realize my shooting ability impacted the POI way more than .001" runout.
I don't neck turn. Still on the fence about whether it's worth it to me. I use fully processed hornady match brass at the moment. I use a hornady concentricity gauge to measure runout of completed rounds. I am far from an expert but enjoy reloading and the information and tools involved.

Co-Ax is great for sizing and provides good feedback on seating.

Most die like Redding, Lee,... uses a std press. The Wilson is a standalone unit, just add ingredients, press together (in a pinch can even use your hands). Sinclair in the sample is a precision arbor press that allow better feel of bullet seating.

The 6.5 certainly is famed for 500 and even to 1200yds.
I din't realize that Forster made dies too. You never see their product anywhere. do you have to buy direct form them? I keep hearing that their Co-ax press is the one to beat.

Thanks for the link! Please excuse my nooob-ness, but I'm not fully understand the Sinclair dies in that link. Do they only work with that little micro-press? or do they fit regular presses too? Or is that little press a better option for precision loading?

Once I get my new 6.5, I plan to start off at 500m and under until I know what I'm doing then stretch out from there. My inlaws have a fairly spread out cattle/hay farm and I have a couple of good lanes of fire that will allow me get out to over 1200m safely when I'm ready to go that long.

I fully understand that my ability is typically the cause of any accuracy issues I am having. However, I love tools and gadgets and will continue to add to my bench even if the most important thing I need is trigger time.

That hand press kit is awesome. Going to pick one up for whatever my next long range cartridge will be.

Reloading is another hobby for me. Luv tools. Got the 21Century neck turner. Quite interesting turning LAPUA, FED, WIN, REM, HDY reg and Match brass to compare the difference in quality.

Def. 6.5 and 6mm are very popular LRP cartridges. 6.5 also hunts most games in NA.

That's the neck turner I have been eyeing.
