I am off to Nose Hill Gun Club this morning. I have SMK and VLD loads to play with. Both with identical powder charges and two different COAL each.Goin to shoot some groups with each and then reach out 1000yds, if the wind and mirage aren't too bad I will try the steal out at 1420 yds.

I am also taking my 25-06 to sight in for hunting season. Has anybody tried this caliber for long range target shooting?

got out yesterday, met some interesting people and had a real good day shooting.I shot a 4.75" group with my 140 smk load with the bullet .04 off the lands at 500 meters.Pretty happy with that. I was even happier with the vld load that was .02 off the lands and at 500 meters I shot a a 4 shot group at 3.25" with a called flier that opened the group up to a shade over 5".Both loads i loaded with 41.5 gr of H4350. shot some steel out to 1000yds. The wind calmed down, found someone to spot for me, and once i found my hold over I hit the 30" gong at 1450 yds 3 for 5. It was a good day.Hopefully the weather will cooperate this fall and i will bable to try groups at 1000yd

I haven't had mine past 500 yards yet but she really likes 129 and 140 grain SST with RL15. I'm 25 thou off the lands. Just getting ready for a goat hunt with it and put three inside 1.25" at 300 yards prone off the bipod. I was happy with that.
