So I have a rifle on order. It looks like I will try the 143 ELDx first, and I have 1 lb of H4350 to try. ( seems to be a 6.5 favourite powder )
What other powder have been successful for the 143 and also the 120-129 range?

Just read up in my Lyman Reloading Manual.
They say: IMR-4350 which is basically the same as the H4350. And Varget.
And then my Nosler Manual had a bunch of different 'best tested powders'. But they still have the 4350, RL17 and Varget listed. If you want scans of some other loading Manual's I could scan them and send them to you. Just PM me your email or cell and I will send anything over.

Hmm so H4350, RL17, and Varget so far. I think I have a pound of RL15, has anyone tried that?

35.5gr of RL15 gave me a cloverleaf with the ELDx
im still experimenting with VLDs, 130/140 as well as powder choices.
Waiting on an order, but the 140VLD is the planned bullet of choice.

IMR7828SSC is my go to choice for the 6.5x55 and 6.5 Creedmore with 140 grn Hornady SST IL. My load is over max from what's written in books but safe in my rifle. In the x55 it produces 2900fps in my Tikka T3 and with the same bullet in a bolt action rifle with a 1-8 twist rate 24in bbl close to 2700 fps.

Pressures are below 60,000 psi
