Good Day

I was able to find a Ruger American Predator rifle today as well as brass:)I have components now to reload for it but no creedmoor dies yet.

Do you guys see any problem seating a bullet into the new brass with my 260 rem die till I get some dies?I made up a dumby round to spec and it chambers fine. What am I missing?

I don't see any problem with that. Seating shouldn't touch the case and even the crimping portion of the die should work fine with the Creedmoor's longer neck if you choose to roll crimp.

No PROBLEM at all seating bullets with the 260 dies at all - Your NOT missing anything ! EXCEPT you should be at least neck sizing that new brass before loading it and you do need the 6.5 Creedmoor die to do that ! jmo RJ

Roll crimping rifle ammo?? Since when did rifle bullet seating dies come with combo seating/crimping dies?

Depend if your die full supports the casing like Wilson and match die.
From pic you can see the shoulders are fully supported.
The 6.5CM and 260 have different angle shoulder.

This thread proves internet advice is worth what you paid, which is NOTHING. The number of responses that said it would work without any knowledge of die OP uses is misleading advice.

OP: What die are you using?

BTW: I can seat 260 with my 308 die and it will chamber so take that for what it is worth.
I could seat the bullet with a hammer :)

Prefer the Wilson with mini arbor over the Forster in co-ax. Wilson give a more better feel to seating pressure, enough that with experience variations in neck tension is noticeable.
The Wilson die will seat the 6.5CM and likely chamber. How concentric is a different matter.
The Wilson is an interesting die, and using one in this instance wouldn't work.
