6.5 Creedmoor

Berger 140 vld, h4350 and touched off with a CCI-BR2 primer in Hornady brass through a 28 inch barrel. Groups of an inch and a quarter at 400 yds are the norm. Every now and then it goes under and i just smile. Not much for recoil and carries well in the wind. Also carries a lot of foot pound energy at long ranges. would like some Lapua brass but see Norma has cases for it now.

The Creedmore is ideally suited to the Rem 700 short action, COL 2.8". You will be able to use all 6.5 cal bullets , even the 140gr VLD's. You will have COL constraints with the 260 Rem in a Rem short action but not so in a Savage short action which is a bit longer, the Swede in a long action would not have any constraints. the Creedmore for all practical purposes is equal to the other 2. 6.5x47lapua is an other consideration but the Creedmore will have easier access to brass and dies. make sure it has a 1:8 twist bbl.

I shoot a creedmoor built on a stiller predator with a broughten barrel. The round is built of a 30tc necked down to 6.5. Not sure if they shortened it or not but its a beauty caliber. After my gunsmith built the rifle he tested its with some factory Winchester ammo. It shot low .300's with only 12 rounds down the pipe. Now I didn't build mine for hunting so its a lil on the heavy side. But non the less great caliber.
