6.5 Grendel Ar-15

Looking at building myself a new AR upper in 6.5 Grendel and was wondering if i can use a standart AR upper with a 6.5 barrel and replace the bolt head on a standard AR bolt carrier??

Yes to the ar15 upper. Here is a pic of a 14.5" barreled one being shot by the inventor of the round Bill Alexander.

Unfortunately I didn't ask what mods were done to the bolt. He uses 6mm PPC brass.

No problem. You might want to check on the availability of ammo up here.
It's on my wish list. He was reaching out to 1000 yards with that rifle.
