I just finished a 6.5 Grendel build a while back and I have yet to find a muzzle device for it. Looking for something along the lines of a commentator, but not really looking for a full on Brake. Having a hard time finding one in 6.5, probably will have to settle on a 6.8 or even a .308 device. Anyone have any recommendations? Its on an ODIN barrel which has 5/8x24 threads.

Thanks,

Would Having the .308 comp be less effective with the 6.5? Ill probably go with the Surfire Warcomp.

With 6.5CM being so popular and 6.5 Grendel gaining steam you would think a lot more manufacturers would be making 6.5 specific devices.

Surefire does make a few brakes in 6.5, but there warcomp only comes in 556 or 762.

You can get either a Matador Arms Hammerhead or a Maple Ridge Armoury Rock Solid brake in 6.5mm.

Pretty sure ATRS was making some 6.5mm brakes as well.

I remember precision rifle blog did some testing and using a 308 brake on a 6.5 cm barrel reduces its effectiveness by a few percent only.

I went with a Gamma VG6 on my Odin 6.5 Grendel build. Direct from Brownells.
I have a couple of Insite brakes on order, but they have been backordered since spring.
