6.5 Grendel stalking rifle with 115gr Barnes Tac-X

Interesting how close book 130 grain velocities in the Grendel are to another famous stalking rifle caliber in 6.5mm shooting 139s.
 
Thanks for posting this, I need to get my hands on these 115gr bullets.

I bought a Grendel (CZ 527) a lovely little cartridge I've been very impressed by it.
I'm not sure that I'd be comfortable shooting deer at 300M with it but it's surprisingly easy to hit a 300M target with it using a 7x scope with a duplex reticle.
 
just curious, what is it you like about the Barnes 115gr over the Hornady 123gr? Is it the lower velocity threshold?

Im getting 2484fps out of a 20" with the 123gr and 8208.

I think both bullets should work fine on deer. I often prefer all copper bullets for a number of reasons. Especially as this is a close range rig for the most part, copper holds together and penetrates well. There is no reason to change up your load if you like it though.
