Anyone else own a 6.5 Grendel rifle?

What rifle did you convert?
How does it shoot?

Hey i am looking into having a custom barrel in 6.5 grendel made for my XCR i was wondering how available this ammo is and what you think of the round?

I was talkign to some people who said the grendal was more aimed at AR shooters than the bolt crowd. The 6.5 Creedmoor on the other hand i've heard it to be a 5 shot one hole grouper with reloads. Im actually intrested in this also as i am looking at a 6.5 for a next gun, i think anyway. If you try it, please do a range report.

I've researched and compared two cartridge....6.5 Grendal and 6BR and I ended up buying 6BR. It is the most accurate cartridge for bolt action.

The 6.5 Grendal when you compare the dimentions appears to be a slightly pregnant PPC cartridge, may be OK for short range but not long range.

As noted, it's the equivalent of the 6BR, but designed to work in the AR platform.
I had a Savage LRPV rebarreled in 6.5Grendel, and it was a 0.3MOA gun. I passed it on to a friend who likes oddball calibres.
I have an XCR that I had Ian at Herron Arms make up a shorty barrel for in 6.5Grendel, and it's as accurate as you can get in that platform.
6.5Grendel ammunition is pretty scarce, and the demand, and therefore supply in Canada, is not going to get any better in the foreseable future.
I don't see any advantage of 6.5Grendel over 7.62X39, in the XCR platform.
I wouldn't recommend it in a bolt gun over the tried, and trued, 6BR.
