6.5 PRC brass anywhere?

Well, I got through and got it canned before it went out the door, dodged the no brass bullet for now, may revist when supplies return.
I suspect IBI ran there reamer down too much and the chamber is just too small all around if .532 based brass is not fitting. I'd be asking for a new barrel if it was me.

I jumped in the game, had to get that Howa while brass is available.
Good and bad with this package...

Good stuff.
It's a long action, was expecting a short action, for a hunting rifle this works better for me, I can load the heaviest longest bullets without cramming.
Trigger out of the box is the best Howa/Vanguard I've purchased.
Scope is better then expected, Truglow Nexis, cheap Chinese class, but good eye relief, clear, BDC reticle, should be easy to sell for $100.
Tally clone rings, look ok, may use them on something light recoiling, or sell.
Build quality is still solid Howa/Vanguard.

Bad stuff.
QC is slipping on finishing with Howa, don't normally see tool marks on these rifles, quite a few on the action, bolt and barrel are well done however.
Barrel is skinny, not even magnum contour, was expecting at least a magnum contour barrel.
Suppose to come with a muzzle brake, none in the box, reading online they blow up after only a few rounds in magnum cartridges, cast or some Chinese crap, might actually be good if didn't come with it lol. Don't really need it for the 6.5PRC anyway, not a recoil monster by any stretch.
All my other Howa's are high polish blue, Vanguard's are a soft bead blasted greyish matte finish, this is kinda closer to a harsh blasted blue you find on Savages or 783's, bit smoother but not much. Enough to make the action a bit noisy, not great.
All in all, I get why these are on so cheap, definitely some speed thrown at production, for $550 into it if I can get $100 for the scope, I can live with it. Hogue stock is what it is, light, comfortable, but cheap. They generally shoot pretty well with Hogue stocks, but I have spare Vanguard and B&C stocks on hand just in case.
