6.5 prc brass

Have been struggling finding Lapua 6.5prc brass . Found 100 in a gun store in Calgary and it was $258 shipped to my door ouch !! So I was continuing looking for brass and thought I will try Europe . So today found some ! In fact they said they had 10 boxes in stock . What would you be prepared to pay ? Prices are stupid on everything reloading .
 
This is a joke?

You're going to pay what they ask, including shipping and maybe custom's fees or you won't get the cases.
 
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 300rcm is the parent case. You could look for those and size them down to 6.5 and turn the necks if they are too thick.
 
I don't shoot 6.5prc, but I have certainly seen people talking about how hard it has been to find components.

Is $258 really too much money to spend? Thats less than twice what I spent on my 7mm08 brass some time ago (well before the recent run on components). Considering how component prices (and availability) have gone lately I would buy it. Ask yourself this - what will you regret more: Not buying the brass now and you can't find it later, or buying it now and the price comes down later? It sucks to over pay, but it sucks more to not have it at all... You're not getting any younger and you can't take that money with you...
 
I ordered the brass form the uk yesterday and got the tracking no form fedex this morning so looking good !! All together with shipping it was $378 . I think paying $100 over the normal price is getting to be the norm these days .

Did you buy the brass from the Calgary retailer AND some from the UK then?
 
Just paid $130 per 50 for ADG brass, and it is on its way. Will get it early next week. Even Nosler brass when you can find it is sitting at $130-150 per 50 a box. I bought lapua brass for my 7mm-08 at $150 per 100.

All the Lapua brass I found in the UK and NZ was basically stupid for shipping, and decided to wait. I think 10 boxes of 100 was going to be $1600 shipping on top of the brass price. Yea, NOOOOOOO!
