6.5 prc u.t.g

Looking alot better with the 4 rnd mag, will be interesting to see your results if and when you do connect with a Moose. I was just looking at a 6.5PRC today at my LGS. A Browning X Bolt Speed.

Finalized a load today for the 120 TTSX. 3125 fps, excellent accuracy. And I was digging around in my gun room today and found a 4 round mag I had bought last summer and forgot about. Laugh2

Looks like Remington was onto something after all. Only 55 years earlier. A short barreled 6.5 short action was all wrong with the 6.5 RM. Now back in style?

:)Your posting of that Remington advert brings back memories. In particular, the Remington XP-100 shown on the bottem. I have one in 'the safe' wearing a Leupold M8-2X scope and having an original Remington XP-100 zipper case.;) About time to take it out and scare some of the spiders out of the bore.

Looks pretty rad with the 7-round mag tho... I'd rock it. Very nice rifle!

On the Remington 600 Magnum, I would have loved one but couldn't get over the rib, not my thing. A wise old German man I know built a 6.5CM with a 20" pipe on a Rem 700 short action and put it in a compact stock with old BDL irons mounted up, very sweet little "truck gun" (was actually his "cabin rifle").

Gorgeous looking rifle. makes me want to swap the bottom metal on my Christensen Mesa in 6.5 PRC! I am also thinking about a nice truck gun but it would likely be more of a deer and black bear rifle then a moose gun.

Also love the scope setup. Something I am thinking about changing on my rifle but not sure what route to go.

A 5 round mag would be a nice compromise between the short and long....but that 7 looks manageable. I like having a bit of something to grab when carrying trail style with a scope and also shooting off hand and running the bolt.

A 5 round mag would be great. The 4 round is not optimum for trail carry although it works. I'm sure I'll make it work though. :)

The scope is excellent with a very "hunting" useable reticle. It's feature heavy but doesn't weigh much. On the down side it's about $2K. :)

Nice rifle Gatehouse, I’ve been testing the 127 LRX and they have good accuracy potential. I was testing at 300m today and shot 1.3” 3 round with them. The real surprise has been the 129 ABLR, had a test go .8” at 300, should be a good load as I’ve shot lots of groups in the 3’s at a 100 with these.

Customary pic of the rifle.

Fierce ct edge re-barrelled in 6.5 prc with a Bartlein carbon M24/M40 contour, 8 twist, 24”.
Zeiss V4 6-24x50 zmoa 20 reticle.
