What’s everyone’s favourite 6.5 projectiles for target/match say 140-155g ish. Just picked up a 6.5 prc with 7 twist and it’ll be kinda my first real target rifle, other than that all I have is hunting rifles. Any and all imput appreciated. Thanks y’all.

I run the 140 RDF in my 6.5 CM, they are super consistent and a very high bc for 140’s, also reasonably affordable if you plan on shooting a lot, but With the PRC (not really a high barrel life cartridge) in a 7 twist I’d look towards a heavier/ higher bc, I think you should go for the new Berger 156 or Sierra 150’s, they are a bit pricey but if your running a big bigger cartridge mite as well get all
you can out of it.

I've had good luck with 139 Scenars and 140 ELD Ms.

Can't really go wrong with anything from Lapua, Hornady, Sierra or Berger. Just stuck with the two above cause I know I can jump em

I shoot 147 Gr ELD-M and they are great for the money, another option is the new Hornady A-Tips as well if you can afford to shoot them. Their weight seems to pretty set up for the bigger 6.5 options and they seem like they are semi available. Always the hard thing with Sierra and Berger. They are not super available here it seems.

I run 140 ELD-M in my 260.

Shot up to 1.8km.

Best bang for your buck IMO.

Got really good results in Ottawa up to 900m too.

147 eld match here. Very consistent and used to be fairly reasonable. The price has gone up a bit. If my twist would support them, I’d be buying the 150 SMK’s at Tenda right now. Good price on 500.

140gr accubonds, deadly accurate and packs a punch !
I am not a good shooter by any means and can pull sub 2” groups at 200 with it easily.

Firing from a hells canyon long range 6.5CM

I have had really good results with Seirra match Kings, Lapuas and Chinchagas.
Lately been shooting lots of Hornaday bullets but haven't competed with them yet.
Last outing using 142 match Kings, with a 500 yard zero, cranked the turret and put a first round hit on a 3 minute gong at 1K.
I'll take that shooting prone with the sling and irons , especially since I hadn't shot that rifle at that distance before with the 6.5 barrel on it:dancingbanana:
edit: that was with estimated 6 minutes of wind adjustment

Looks like I'm the only one still shooting the 140VLD lol

Other than being tricky to find the lands with, they shoot pretty well out of my Tikka 6.5x55 !
