6.5 projectiles,

I also shoot 2830 fps with 140 Berger's (hybrids) and I have found that to be a sweet spot for 24" barrels. Single digit SD (5 or less), with and ES of 20 or less fps. Shoots really well, 1/3-1/2 MOA no problem, and got a first round hit at 1400 yards at a PRS match.

No pressure signs.

@iron cat Have you shot the Chinchagas recently? Dale has 140's in stock. I have some on order and will look at working up a load for matches.

I was shooting them just thee other day, and received another 500 from him as well as some .311 hunting bullets:)
They shoot VERY well, and are easy to load for, not finicky at all.

I have been running the Lapua 136 Scenar L bullet for a while now and I really like them, that is from a 260 rem, with the PRC I would likely start at the 147 bullets and go north from there. Be interesting to see your results.

With all the 140gr projectiles this looks like a Creedmore thread. How about some Grendel love?

Ive been using Hornady 129gr SST and they should quite well out of my Odin barrel.

Grendel? Never shot it, but the 130 Berger Hybrid or a 123 Scenar would be on top of my list! On the other end of the spectrum from the hipster, I am hoping to try the 144's and 156 Bergers out of a PRC - will try with H1000 & VV565 (and R26 if it ever shows itself again). My range is under 3ft of snow, so don't wait for the results...

Anyone test the Berger 144s yet.
I have 500 sitting here, but work is getting in the way as usual.

I have a couple boxes but haven't shot any yet. Will try them in my 260 and PRC

I've been shooting 100gr Berger and 129gr Nosler ABLR. The 123gr ELD are very good too in factory ammo

I recently purchased some 140 Nosler RDF's. Ive got some IMR4350 on the shelf to try. I'm looking forward to trying them out. If anyone has some tips on loading the RDF bullets, I'd like to hear them. I've been reading guys are having trouble getting good results with these and that they may prefer more jump to the lands than other choices.

I've had good luck with the RDF 140's in my T3x 6.5x55 varmint. It has a rather deep throat and the RDF fits well as I have a .050 jump and still have some bullet inside the case neck. They do like a bit of jump. I've tried them from .020 - .060 and found .050 best in my rifle.

So I tried my Nosler RDF bullets for the first time yesterday using IMR4350. 41.5 grains gave me a .75" group but only 2533 fps from my 22" Remington 5R barrel. Is anyone getting good accuracy with more speed? Is this normal for a 22" barrel?
More powder did up the speed but the group's were no good.
