You seemed to have missed something, Chuck... I am not promoting the 6.5 Rem Mag cartridge... I am also not suggesting that anyone build a rifle chambered for 6.5 Rem Mag... I am saying that "I" like the cartridge and "I" am building a rifle so chambered... also, I really don't care if you can find 500 brass (although I just showed you where they are), I am saying that "I" already have 500 6.5 RM brass... and a donor rifle... so I am all set for "my" project... go build a PRC.

It is the best....so good that Hornady made a new case to duplicate capacity and velocity which made you fork over $$$.
They are marketing and branding geniuses...taking something that already exists and making people believe it's different because it's "new".

There are a couple dozen people on here I take at face value. I don’t think anyone has shot more game (well, can be certain) than Dogleg on this forum, he risks getting into five figures of kills. I don’t think anyone here has seen more bears killed than Hoyt, hundreds and hundreds and in the last couple seasons got into Grizzlies too. And I don’t think anyone has chrono’d or radar’d a wider variety of chamberings and loads than you. I’ll take your word on the .264 / 6.5 PRC / Rem / -284 split.

I have a spare 6.5x55 Shultz & Larsen 27" heavy target barrel off a 98 that is near new...and a few too many 30'06 98's.
I was debating 264win, 6.5-284...now the 6.5RM is making me lean that way...turn the barrel to something more carry friendly, nice long range boomer.
I hate these decisions lol.

I’m jealous of the cartridge? Do you have any clue how many different cartridges, including wildcats, that I have owned. I’m more about having people avoid dumb decisions.
