Anybody have any experience with the 6.5 STW or 264 THOR. I've got an itch to do something weird again. Happens every so often.

No, but I love the 264 bore 
. I just recently bought a 6.5 wsm which I can't wait to get to the range with, and another project that's slowly coming together is a 6.5/06 AI. I bought the reamer, have the stainless 700 action, a stock, oh, and scope mounts for it too. Just have to get my butt in gear and buy a barrel and send it off to a smith for the build. A 6.5 stw would be WILD

I have a 6.5-300 Win Mag at the gunny right now getting done up. It's actually a 6.5-300 WM with the belt removed, but essentially the same thing. I've just got a 24" barrel screwed to it at the moment, but if it turns out to be a winner, I'll put some coin into a 28".
I looked into case capacities considerations before I went to the expense of a reamer, and really thought that the 300 WM case capacity (~93.0 grs H2O) was about max for the powders available, otherwise I would have just done something with a 338 RUM case for about 105.0-110.0 grs capacity (and I might still ).
Will post results later this summer.

Yip thinkin 28" tube. I already have a 264 WM a 6.5.06 a 6.5 x 57 AI. Not sure why I need this one but methinks it would be fun.
