6.5 swede

Hello gents i have a few questions that you may be able to enlighten me on ! I was just given a (what I was told is a small ring Mauser) chambered for 6.5x55 swede and I know nothing about it . Unfortunately it has seen the "bubba efect" ie: the stock has been butchered , severely cut down for a young shooter a few years ago . The rifle is marked as a Carl Gustav Stade /Gevarsfaktori Interarmco G 33/50 on the top of the front of the receiver and has been drilled and tapped for a scope . The barrel looks to be bright and doesnt appear to have been altered however it is fairly short ! 17" from breech face to muzzle ! any info you could give would be greatly appreciated tnx . Blaser! I think that restocked it would make a very nice bush deer rifle .

Sounds like it started life as a m94 carbine. Original unaltered ones would command a premium I'd guess. Check out Badgerdog's Milsurp Knowledge Library for info and pics of the real thing.

Yup it sure will.

Unless the gun was built in 1896-7,if it has a five digit or less serial number it's a M94.

Yes it has a 5 digit s/n prefix (kb) 30### . Would this give any idea of build date?
